Monaco/Juventus period

Henry kick started his professional footballing career at French outfit AS Monaco and was handed his debut for the side in 1994, by Arsene Wenger at the young age of 17. Thierry Henry was placed on the left wing at that time period because the forward position was occupied by Sonny Anderson. In the 1994/95 season, Henry made an impressive eight appearances scoring three goals. Henry became a permanent fixture in the Monaco side for the 95/956 season, making 22 appearances and three goals to his name. The footballing public began to take notice after Euro 96, during the 96/97, a regular member in the starting line up for Monaco, he played a staggering 48 matches for Monaco, scoring ten goals, he won his first major honour as a player 96/97 with Monaco winning the ligue 1 and in the same year also winning the French Super Cup. Henry was impressive in the 97/98 season and during the middle of the 98/99 season, Thierry Henry moved to Juventus, appearing sixteen times and scoring only three goals. He swiftly moved to Arsenal the following season.
